Me again

A grumpy morning in pregnant land. I am back to being so tired, yet unable to sleep. Often during the day, I wonder if I could just have the baby NOW. Ah, but then my own lovely doctors would not be looking after me and that would be a disappointment. So I guess I will keep waiting. One more month. In the meantime, I have been busy. Here are a few things I've completed in the past couple of days (including cleaning up around the house at least twice... sewing in the living room sure makes a mess!)

A lovely minki-backed baby blanket for Paul's cousins baby due in FEBRUARY!! Can you believe it, I'm ahead of myself! Also, a little camera case for our new digital camera, which I am hopefully getting better at using.... at least the colour looks better in the above shot.

I also made a little dress for Lily and a bag/purse for Emma with a wallet, none of which I could photgraph because my hubby took the camera away for the weekend and they are now in the post. Oh yeah, yesterday most of the day was consumed by cutting veggies. I will post those pictures as soon as I can figure out what is going on with my uploads.... I need to get groceries, hit the post office and tidy up around here all before my mom gets here this afternoon. We are going into the city tomorrow and she's seeing MamaMia. We'll both shop and stay overnight. Lovely.

serger heaven

thank you grandma for the serger!!! i can't believe that it's taken me so long to pull it out, turn it on and thread it. it is soooo fabulous. i had forgotten what it was like to sew cut and finish the WHOLE seam in one go. LOVE IT! and here is the fruit of my first day with serger

its a little baby pillow for a cousin's new babe. no planning ( i was too excited by the serger), so i am lucky that everything worked out as i pieced it together. sad to say the pompom trim turns out to be cheap-o and two have already fallen off. keep away from baby...

i also made and froze 5 containers of shepherd's pie, tomatoes and plums all in a beginning effort to stock the freezer for baby arrival and subsequent inevitable meltdown. ha. we now have the date for d-day: October 25, 2005. Coming up fast!
